The Georgian, Coppa Club, Haslemere

New boutique hotel in the heart of the Surrey Hills, Haslemere

Coppa Club is delighted to announce the official opening of new hotel, The Georgian, Coppa Club, which opened its doors on Tuesday 3rd May. Stirring up the Surrey hospitality scene in the leafy streets of Haslemere, The Georgian is the tenth property to join the brand’s portfolio of clubhouses and third hotel location - offering an all-day lifestyle venue (with no membership fees) and 13 individually designed bedrooms.

The newly opened Grade II listed property is laden with charm, featuring a garden terrace with a large fire pit for cool summer nights, three iconic pods and a series of events designed specifically for locals to enjoy throughout the seasons. The Georgian is an escape for the community of Haslemere, a destination which belongs to everyone and where visitors and locals alike can enjoy these exceptional new facilities to work, eat, drink, meet, relax and stay. Those who choose to stay overnight at the new clubhouse will find all they could ever need at their fingertips, in a location that skilfully balances Coppa Club’s escape-from-home ethos with practicality and style.

Design & Inspiration
The Georgian is defined by a seamless combination of the traditional and contemporary style, blending interiors that nod to the building’s history with modernist flares that are also reflected in the art that is found throughout the entire property.

Fun interior design features include: a Georgian inspired patterned floor and strong deep green of the Georgian panelling in the Entrance Bar; ‘Bonbon’ lanterns in the Restaurant creating an atmospheric glow; and an inside outside feel in the private spaces  a snug with terracotta floor tiles and panelling to match, an encaustic tiled fireplace, creating the perfect place for a private party. In the Bar Lounge, a snug feel is emulated through dark panelling offering the perfect place to have a cosy drink or dine.

Yishay Malkov, CEO of Coppa Club, comments: "We are delighted that The Georgian, Coppa Club has now opened its doors as our first hotel in the Surrey Hills. For years, private members’ clubs have monopolised the market as spaces for people to stay all day, from working to relaxing and this is something we are starting to change. We pride ourselves in providing people with a personalised experience, a place where they can work, eat, drink, meet or relax – from first thing in the morning till late at night. We are looking forward to becoming part of the local community and providing something for everyone in the charming town of Haslemere."

With ten separate locations now currently found in the South-East and West of England, the brand has a private members’ club feel, without any members club fees. Each venue reflects its individual location and offers an informal, welcoming, and relaxed atmosphere with Streatley-on-Thames and Sonning-On-Thames offering riverside hotel bedrooms too.
